The HK Prize Lottery offers huge prizes for its winners, but the odds are not good. The first place winner will receive a jackpot of HK$1 million, while second and third place winners will get HK$500,000 and HK$300,000 respectively. The HK Prize Lottery also has a number of other prizes, including cars and cash. However, the prize money is usually less than that of other lottery games.
The Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Prize is a merit-based award to reward outstanding scientists and research teams in the HKSAR or its research-related institutions located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for their scientific and technological innovations with high transformation potential and significant social or economic benefits. It is sponsored by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. The Charter is designed to promote scientific and standardized management of the prize, ensure its objectivity and fairness, and foster an academic spirit of professionalism in the field of science and technology in Hong Kong.

Winners must pass through a rigorous assessment process that includes various screening stages and interview sessions. In addition, the winners must have a proven track record of accomplishment in enhancing Hong Kong’s international profile and shaping its role on the global stage.

Their fervent dedication to fighting for democracy has earned them the accolade, say lawmakers in the US.
