The Hongkong Prize and the BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize 2024
The hongkong prize is one of the most popular writing competitions in Asia, providing winners with monetary prizes and an opportunity to participate in an awards ceremony. It attracts thousands of entrants each year and can be a great way to gain exposure for your work. However, it is important to understand the rules and regulations of the contest before you submit your entry. Failure to do so can result in disqualification from the competition.
The Hong Kong Student Prize, founded in 2012, is open to all enrolled secondary school students in the city. To enter, students must be nominated by their teacher and must follow the submission instructions in the T&Cs. Students may submit up to three artworks and will be judged by a panel of judges. The winner of the judges’ prize will receive HK$8,000 and his or her school will receive HK$20,000. The public vote prize, worth HK$4,000, is awarded to the student artist with the most votes from the general public.
BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize 2024 is an annual merit-based award established by the Hong Kong Alliance of Technology and Innovation and title sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. It aims to reward outstanding scientists or research teams in Hong Kong and research-related institutions set up by Hong Kong higher education institutions that are located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, for their significant achievements in scientific and technological innovation and transformation.
Laureates of this award are invited to work in Hong Kong’s premier research facilities for six months, giving them an unprecedented opportunity to collaborate with their global peers and explore new possibilities in the city known as Asia’s world city. They will also benefit from the knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary approach to research that is a hallmark of Hong Kong’s scientific community.
This award is presented to a researcher who has made distinguished contributions to the development of mathematical theory and its application in science, business, engineering, finance and management.
